Cancellations
If you are unable to arrive, please cancel your reservation as soon as possible through the system you used to make the reservation. If you made your reservation through Booking.com or Airbnb, you have accepted their reservation and cancellation terms and conditions when making the reservation.

If you have already paid for your reservation, you can request a refund by emailing info@visitvuohensaari.fi
Please include your name, reservation number, and dates of stay in your message. Cancellation policy
- One-night reservations can be canceled free of charge no later than 6 p.m. on the day before the reservation begins. If the cancellation is made after this, we will charge the full price of the reservation.
- If your reservation is for several nights or several accommodation units, the cancellation must be made no later than seven days before the start of the reservation. If the cancellation is made after this, we will charge 50% of the reservation price if we have not been able to resell the accommodation.
- If the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the start of the reservation and the accommodation unit cannot be resold, the full price of the reservation will be charged.
- Additional services, such as sauna reservations, can be canceled free of charge no later than 6 p.m. on the previous day. If the cancellation is made later, we will charge the full price of the service.
- Addition to the cancellation policy for guests with pets: a pet’s illness does not entitle you to cancel your reservation free of charge.
Please note that special events have different cancellation terms:
Cancellation terms for special events differ from normal reservations. During peak seasons, such as Midsummer, the minimum reservation period is two nights. If you wish to cancel your reservation during this period, you must do so at least eight days before the start of your reservation. If the cancellation is made later, we will charge 50% of the reservation price. If the cancellation is made less than seven days before the start of the reservation, we will charge the full price of the reservation.
Additional services, such as sauna reservations, must be canceled at least seven days before the start of the reservation. After this, the full price will be charged for any additional services that are canceled.
Special event reservations must always be paid for in advance via our online store or by invoice. If payment is not received by the due date, the service provider has the right to cancel the reservation and put the property back on the market. Please note that failure to pay is not the same as canceling a reservation – cancellations must always be made separately.
If you decide to leave early, we will not refund any unused accommodation time.
General terms and conditions (individual customers and groups)
Accommodation and cleaning of the cabin
The accommodation price includes the right to use your chosen accommodation and its facilities. Customers must always use bed linen, sleeping bags, or similar. If you do not have your own bed linen, you can rent it from the campsite reception for an additional fee.
The standard final cleaning of camping cabins (which do not have their own toilet or shower) is included in the price of accommodation. However, we require that the refrigerator be emptied, dishes be washed, and trash be taken to the waste disposal point. If you have rented bed linen, please leave it in a pile on the bed when you leave. We reserve the right to charge an additional fee if the final cleaning has not been done or if special measures or cleaning agents are required. We reserve the right to charge the customer retrospectively for any broken or missing items. The premises and its movable property are checked after each guest, please note that there are lists of movable property in the accommodation folder.
Winterized cottages have separate cleaning instructions if you want to do the final cleaning yourself. We reserve the right to charge an additional fee if the final cleaning has not been done or if special measures or cleaning agents are required for cleaning. This ensures that all customers have a pleasant accommodation experience.
Cancellation of reservation due to disruptive behavior
If a customer or the person who made the reservation or their guests do not comply with the rules and regulations of the Vuohensaari tourism and event area or the instructions given by the staff, and continues disruptive or dangerous behavior despite warnings, the staff has the right to terminate the reservation immediately and/or call the police. We will send an invoice to the person who made the reservation for all actual costs incurred as a result of such behavior.
The Vuohensaari area is quiet every day from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Complaints
If you notice any deficiencies or problems with the equipment or condition of your accommodation, please report them immediately to the staff of the Vuohensaari tourism and event area. This will allow us to remedy the situation or offer appropriate compensation, if possible. If the problem cannot be resolved on site, a written complaint must be made immediately at the time of the incident. Unfortunately, complaints made after the fact cannot be processed.
If you accidentally cause damage to the accommodation unit or other buildings or movable property in the Vuohensaari tourism and event area, please report it immediately to the staff and take care of the compensation. Unreported damage will be charged afterwards according to the actual costs. The guest is responsible for keeping the accommodation unit in good condition throughout the reservation period.
Please note that the entrepreneur of the Vuohensaari tourism and event area is not responsible for disturbances caused by external factors, such as water or power outages or telecommunications network problems. Our goal is always to ensure a comfortable and smooth accommodation experience for you.
Number of guests
The details of all guests must be provided in the passenger notification form at the latest upon check-in. The maximum number of guests for each of our accommodations corresponds to the number of beds and any extra beds. Unfortunately, the permitted number of persons cannot be exceeded in order to ensure that all guests have the most comfortable and safe accommodation experience possible.
Obligation to provide passenger information
According to Finnish law, every guest must complete a passenger notification form before the start of their stay. You can fill out an electronic passenger declaration in our booking system. However, the passenger declaration must be filled out upon arrival at the latest. It is important to provide the correct information, as providing false personal information or neglecting to provide information may result in penalties under the law. (28.4.2006/308 Act on Accommodation and Catering Services)
Minors
Accommodation services are only sold to adults and corporate customers who are responsible for the accommodation for its entire duration. Minors are also welcome to stay at Vuohensaari. As a condition of accommodation, each minor must have a permission slip signed by a guardian, which also includes the guardian’s phone number. Alternatively, the permission slip can be sent in advance by email. Guests staying in the cottage are jointly responsible for any damage caused to the property, whether intentional or accidental. In the event of vandalism or theft, we will always notify the guardians and, if necessary, the police. Our goal is to ensure a safe and comfortable accommodation experience for everyone.
Keys
At the beginning of your stay, after filling out the card and making the payment, you will receive instructions for your accommodation and the keys. Lost or unreturned keys will be charged in full for the cost of rekeying or replacing the locks, with a minimum charge of €100.
Smoking
Smoking or the use of other combustible intoxicants is not permitted indoors. If this occurs, we will charge additional costs for cleaning and ventilation.
Pets
Pets are welcome in our accommodation, provided you notify us in advance. Please bring your own bedding for your pet, as pets are not allowed to sleep in beds or on sofas. There is an additional charge of €10 per pet per stay.
Please be considerate of other guests and keep your pet on a leash when moving around the area, and clean up after your pet. Addition to the cancellation policy for guests with pets: illness of a pet does not entitle you to cancel your reservation free of charge.
Illness
If the cancellation of the reservation is due to illness and a medical certificate is presented, we will charge an administrative fee of €20 per reservation. However, if the reservation includes several accommodation units or is a group reservation, the illness of one person does not entitle the entire reservation to be canceled free of charge.
Disputes
If a dispute arises between the service provider and the customer, the primary aim is to resolve it through discussion and by seeking a solution that is satisfactory to both parties. If no agreement can be reached, the customer may, if they wish, refer the matter to the Consumer Complaints Board.
Service provider’s liability and right to make changes
The Vuohensaari tourism and event area is not liable for cancellations in cases of force majeure. In such cases, the customer will be refunded any accommodation fees paid in advance. The service provider’s liability is limited to refunding the amount paid, and they are not obliged to offer alternative accommodation. However, if possible, the service provider may offer the customer the option of transferring their reservation to another type of accommodation.
The service provider has the right to change its service, its content, availability, and these terms and conditions at any time by announcing the changes on its website. The changes will take effect immediately, but the terms and conditions valid at the time of booking will always apply to bookings made by the customer.
The booking and cancellation terms and conditions for the Vuohensaari tourism and event area are valid from January 1, 2026.
