Camp by the forest and sea – welcome to Vuohensaari!
Vuohensaari is a small and cozy campsite in Salo. There are about 50 caravan sites, 32 of which have electricity.
You can choose your tent site freely from the varied forest terrain or even with a sea view. There is no need to reserve a tent site in advance. Please note that part of the island is a nature reserve where accommodation is not permitted.

Vuohensaari Beachhouse
The beach house has six cozy camping rooms of various sizes with sea views. Guests have access to a shared kitchen. Toilets and showers are located in the maintenance building. The beach is right next door.
Ahtela’s cottage
Ahtela’s cottage is a warm and traditional accommodation with an atmosphere of times gone by. Thick log walls, beautiful details, and the unhurried atmosphere of the cottage make for a special experience.
Putka – old jailhouse
Putka is a charming and cozy camping cabin that once served as the island’s own jailhouse. Now it offers a completely new, peaceful accommodation experience right by the sea. The small private terrace is lovely.
Tourists in the area have access to a new service building with toilets, showers, and a kitchen for cooking.

begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 12 noon the following day.
If you have booked a cabin in advance, we will keep it reserved until 6 p.m., unless otherwise agreed upon.
If you arrive after 6 p.m., please let us know in advance so that your reservation
will remain valid despite your late arrival.
Nature, activities, and enjoying each other’s company
Vuohensaari is a versatile day trip destination, a stopover for travelers on longer trips, or a place for a longer vacation. The island offers a wide range of activities and events.
Sauna
Vuohensaari has an atmospheric wooden sauna, which can be heated on request. The sauna has a small sheltered terrace for cooling off, and you can swim from the adjacent jetty. Towels can be rented from our info-desk.
Cafe & Restaurant
Our café-restaurant invites you to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and delicious café and restaurant products. Our café-restaurant is only open during the summer season. Check our social media channels for opening hours.
Events
Vuohensaari has an active summer theater and dance pavilion. You can find more information about specific events in our event calendar. Please note that during events, there may be exceptional parking arrangements in Vuohensaari and the café’s opening hours may differ from normal.
